Introduction

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to use the social media ways-to-earn feature within your Raleon loyalty program. This feature allows you to reward customers with points, discounts, or other rewards for engaging with your brand on social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.

Setting Up Social Media Rewards

1. Navigate to Ways to Earn

In your Raleon loyalty program dashboard, go to Campaigns and click Add to create a new Way to Earn. This can be part of your Foundational campaigns or specific promotional campaigns with a limited duration.

2. Select Social Media Actions

From the list of customer actions, choose one of the following social media engagements:

  • Follow on Instagram
  • Follow on TikTok
  • Follow on Facebook

If you want to include multiple social media accounts in a campaign, each social media account will require their own Way to Earn. You can not include multiple social media behaviors in the same way to earn.

For example, in your "Social Media Blitz" campaign, you can create 3 ways-to-earn. The first incentiving TikTok, the second Instagram, and the third for Facebook. In this way, your campaign can target social engagement across all 3 platforms.

3. Enter Social Media Account Handle

Input the handle of the social media account you wish to promote. You may include the "@" symbol or not; the system is designed to recognize and process the handle correctly in either format.

There are no Way to Earn conditions for social media actions. For each social way-to-earn in a campaign, each customer can only successfully earn the reward one time. If you run social media Ways to Earn in multiple campaigns over time, all customers will be allowed to earn rewards again even if they've already followed your account.

4. Customize the Reward

Decide on the reward you'll offer for the social media engagement. Options include bonus points, coupons, or other incentives. It's important to balance the reward's value with the benefit your brand receives from the social media follow.

Important Considerations

Reward Grants Immediately Due to Tracking Limitations

Due to tracking and verification challenges, it's not possible for Raleon to confirm if a customer completes the action on the social media platform. Therefore, Raleon measures engagement based on the customer clicking the button to visit your social media page but cannot verify the follow-through. Customer's are granted their reward immediately upon engaging with the button in the Loyalty Sidebar.

Plan your rewards scheme with this limitation in mind, acknowledging the potential for some discrepancy in actual engagements.

Reward Value

Ensure the value of the reward is proportional to the benefit gained from the social media engagement. Avoid over-rewarding for social media follows, as the objective is to cultivate genuine interest and interaction with your brand.

For each specific social media Way to Earn (WTE), Shoppers are limited to 1 successful completion.

However, if you offer multiple instances of the social media WTE, then each customer can earn the reward for every instance of the WTE.

Customization and Branding

After setting up the reward, you can further customize the campaign by adding or updating your campaign's copy and imagery. This helps maintain consistency with your overall marketing and loyalty program aesthetics.
